A plain-language summary of how RouteMate handles member information.
Information we keep
Account details, journey and booking records, ratings, safety reports, audit events and—where a member applies to drive—verification documents and vehicle information.
Private contact details
Phone numbers are not shown publicly. Trip contact details unlock only to accepted journey participants for a limited coordination window.
Verification documents
Driver identity, licence, registration and insurance evidence is stored in private storage and limited to the applicant and authorized RouteMate administrators. Rejected or expired evidence is subject to the configured retention period.
Safety information
Safety reports are available only to the reporter and authorized administrators. Internal investigation notes remain private; member-facing updates are separated from internal notes.
Your controls
Members can request a portable account-data export and request account closure from their profile. Some journey/safety/audit records may need to be retained or anonymized rather than immediately destroyed.
Service providers
RouteMate currently relies on its hosting/database infrastructure for authentication and storage. Optional notification providers are not required for core in-app operation.
