RouteMate Terms of Use
These terms govern use of RouteMate Zambia as a journey-sharing and cost-contribution platform.
1. Journey-sharing purpose
RouteMate helps people already travelling in the same direction connect and share available seats. Members remain responsible for complying with applicable transport, insurance, licensing, road-safety and tax requirements.
2. No transport guarantee
RouteMate is a technology/community platform. It does not guarantee a journey, driver, passenger, vehicle, pickup time, route or contribution arrangement.
3. Driver responsibilities
Drivers must provide truthful verification information, keep their licence, insurance and vehicle evidence current, drive lawfully and safely, and publish only journeys they are genuinely planning to make.
4. Passenger responsibilities
Passengers must provide truthful account information, behave respectfully, arrive on time, follow reasonable safety instructions and use the platform only for lawful journey-sharing.
5. Journey contribution
The amount shown is a journey contribution, not a guarantee that a journey is legally commercial passenger transport. RouteMate may apply configurable contribution limits while the operating model is reviewed.
6. Safety and enforcement
RouteMate may review reports, suspend accounts, remove journeys and preserve evidence when necessary for safety, fraud prevention, legal compliance or platform integrity.
7. Privacy
Verification documents and private contact information are handled as described in the Privacy Notice.
8. Changes
Material updates are versioned. RouteMate may require members to accept a newer version before continued use.
